What is the next right action?

Hey there — happy Tuesday.

One of the items on my list of doctrines is called “Next Right Action.” I have this on this list to remind me to continually take the… next right action. It’s not rocket surgery. But I do forget how simple it can be.

My mind would rather tackle the problem of what to do next by considering every single action I could possibly take, weigh each one according to the merits of its outcome, and THEN make a move.

There’s no time for that. The time to make a move is NOW.

This also illustrates why our minds give such a haven to our fears. We can feign paralysis by analysis when we’re just afraid to take the next step.

What is the next right action for you right now? Go and do that thing.
