Know the Way. Go the Way.

There is a difference between knowing the way and going the way.

In the world of spirituality, this is the difference between theology and mysticism, really. Theology is theory, and maybe applies to everyone. Mysticism is experience, and might be highly individuated.

I am too often satisfied with simply knowing the way, particularly when it comes to these practices that I write about here. I often have to push myself to GO the way, to apply what I’ve discovered.

But the utter magic is in taking the steps, rather than simply envisioning them.

With all that is going on in the world today, honestly, this might sound like the very smallest of concerns. And yet, our mystical, creative experience has the power to change this world, to bring more love, more grace, more peace into this world.

Don’t pass up today’s chance to let the angels sing through you, and bring a bit more of heaven into this hurting earth. I promise you — it will make a difference.
